There is no accommodation at Luxor International Airport (LXR) itself, although as the Nile Valley is such a major tourist destination, there is plenty of choice in the area.
Many of the more upmarket hotels and chains, such as Sheraton, Hilton, Sofitel and Le Meridien, offer four or five star accommodation at locations on the banks of the Nile, with easy access to both the city of Luxor and the nearby Valley of the Kings.

With the centre of Luxor being so close to the airport, the main accommodation here can be reached in less than ten minutes. A large number of hotels in central Luxor also offer free shuttle transport, collecting passengers from outside of the airport, upon request.

Inexpensive accommodation is widely available throughout the region, within easy reach of Luxor International Airport (LXR). For all accommodation, it is best to book beforehand, as bookings by tour groups can lead to limited availability at certain times. For those arriving in the city looking for a place to stay, there are numerous 'touts' that gather around the railway station, most of which are friendly, helpful locals offering genuine hotel discounts, being happy to assist.
Hotel rates in Luxor are known to fluctuate greatly according to demand, with accommodation being at its most expensive during the cooler winter months and lowest in the summer. However, many people choose to stay in Luxor during mid-spring, around April, when the weather is hot and fairly pleasant, and many hotels start reducing their prices as the scorching summer months approach.
